Werner Herzog’s SALT AND FIRE Starring Michael Shannon Gets a New Poster

A new poster has been released for the upcoming Werner Herzog film Salt and Fire, which stars Michael Shannon and Gael García Bernal as a scientist and CEO who must band together in order to stop an ecological disaster when a volcano shows signs of a pending eruption in South America. The film also stars Veronica Ferres. This will be the second time Shannon and Herzog are working together, with the first being 2009’s My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done?.

As for the poster itself, it looks pretty generic, which is a bit of a downer considering how much I admire both Shannon and Herzog and generally like their films.

Salt and Fire doesn’t have a release date just yet.
