William Fichtner Confirms Role as Shredder in ‘TMNT’ reboot

In a recent interview with HuffPost Canada TV, actor William Fichtner confirmed that he will be playing the villain, Shredder, in the upcoming Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.  Most fans were already speculating this as soon as it was announced he was going to be in the film, but now it’s confirmed with him saying:

I play Shredder. It is cool. It’s one of those things that came along where I thought, “Really? Let me think about this for a minute.” Then I was like, “Yeah, OK, this sounds like a journey.” I’m very glad that it worked out, I’m really glad that I’m doing it.

Fichtner will next be able to be seen as the villain in the upcoming The Lone Ranger from Disney.  TMNT is set to hit theaters June 6th, 2014.
