Wu-Tang Members to Star in Ol’ Dirty Bastard Biopic

Today, actor Michael K. Williams told The New York Daily News, that the producers of an upcoming Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic intend on having the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan portray themselves.

Williams was cast in the starring role as ODB, and the film revolves around the relationship between him and his manager Jarred Weisfeld.  The film is titled Dirty White Boy, and is being produced by Ocean Size Pictures. While is hasn’t been confirmed, it seems likely that the other Wu-tang Clan members will play themselves, considering most of them, like Method Man and Ghostface Killah, are actors anyway. It would also add to the credibility and authenticity of the flick.

On a personal note, I’m an enormous Wu-Tang fan, and would love to see this film get made, however it may be difficult to show such a troubled soul like ODB in a positive light.  Either way, it’s my hope that they create something that is both accurate, and dignified.
