Yvonne Strahovski Joins THE PREDATOR; Michelle Rodriguez Added to ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL Cast

Apparently she was added a little too late to be in the recent cast photo, but Yvonne Strahovski (Dexter, Chuck) is joining Shane Black’s The Predator. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she’ll be playing the mother of Jacob Tremblay’s character and ex-wife of Boyd Holbrook’s.

Also starring Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Olivia Munn, and Keegan-Michael Key, The Predator is scheduled for release on February 9th, 2018.

In other action/sci-fi casting news, Michelle Rodriguez has been announced as part of the cast for Robert Rodriguez’s recently wrapped Alita: Battle Angel. EW reports that she’s playing Gelda, a cyborg mentor to the main character. The cast also includes Rosa Salazar in the title role, Christoph Waltz, Mahershala Ali, Jennifer Connelly, Jackie Earle Haley, and Ed Skrein.

Alita: Battle Angel will be in theaters on July 20th, 2018.
