Check Out Some New Images from Sofia Coppola’s THE BEGUILED

A handful of new images from Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled have been released, and they show off a lot of Southern Gothic gorgeousness.

In the film, Nicole Kidman plays a headmistress at a girls’ school in Civil War-era Virginia. The lives of the young ladies change when they take in a wounded Union solider (Colin Ferrell).  Also starring Elle Fanning, Kirsten Dunst, and Angourie Rice, The Beguiled will be in theaters on June 30th.

The Beguiled, adapted by Sofia Coppola from Thomas Cullinan’s novel of the same name, unfolds in a girls’ school in the state of Virginia in 1864. As the Civil War rages, The Miss Martha Farnsworth Seminary for Young Ladies has been sheltered from the outside world— until the day a wounded Union soldier is discovered nearby and taken in.
