In the film, Nicole Kidman plays a headmistress at a girls’ school in Civil War-era Virginia. The lives of the young ladies change when they take in a wounded Union solider (Colin Ferrell). Also starring Elle Fanning, Kirsten Dunst, and Angourie Rice, The Beguiled will be in theaters on June 30th.

The Beguiled, adapted by Sofia Coppola from Thomas Cullinan’s novel of the same name, unfolds in a girls’ school in the state of Virginia in 1864.
