Chucky Returns to His Horror Roots in the CURSE OF CHUCKY Trailer

Today, Mashable released the new Curse of Chucky trailer from Universal Pictures.  Before becoming a parody of itself with its last two entries, the Child’s Play series was originally a mostly serious horror film involving a possessed doll hell bent on killing everyone in his path.

Creator Don Mancini returns to write and direct this reboot, however the most important part is that Brad Dourif is once again providing the voice of Chucky.  The film also stars his daughter, Fiona Dourif (True Blood).  While I certainly have no expectations for this movie, it might provide some nostalgic horror fun.

Curse of Chucky is hitting VOD September 24th and DVD/Blu-ray October 8th.  Hit the jump to check out the trailer and read the full synopsis.
