This comes as good news considering the director’s last batch of films have deviated from his previous works, and while they weren’t all bad per se, it’s nice to see him returning to the genre that he’s most known for.
There’s no word on when shooting will begin, but I would guess we can plan on a 2016 release. Cronenberg’s next film, Maps to the Stars, is finished and will hopefully be popping up at some festivals sometime this year.
