Dwayne Johnson to Play Black Adam in DC’s SHAZAM

In a tweet sent out today, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has confirmed he’ll be playing Black Adam in the upcoming Warner Bros. adaptation of the DC comic Shazam.

In the past, Black Adam was an out and out bad guy in the DC comics universe, however the film will follow the character in his most recent form, which is more of an anti-hero rather than a straight up villain.  

According to VarietyDarren Lemke (Turbo) will be writing the script for the film, however there’s no director as of yet, and no word on who will be playing Shazam, AKA Captain Marvel.
