Anyone who is a tremendous horror fan such as myself knows that the title of Eli Roth‘s first movie since 2007’s Hostel 2 is a throwback to the classic Cannibal Holocaust II, but until today, not much was known about the title itself. Variety reported that the film is set to start shooting in Peru this fall, with a 2013 release likely. The film will center around a group of people that crash land into a Peruvian jungle, only to be captured by a tribe of cannibalistic natives.
There is no cast to speak of as of yet, however, in addition to Roth writing the script, we have Chilean writer Guillermo Amoedo co-writing, who has also written another film coming out in 2013 titled Aftershock, which Roth is starring in.
If you can’t wait that long to get your Eli Roth fix, you might want to check out Roth’s theme park attraction the Goretorium is set to open this September in Las Vegas.
