James McAvoy Cast as Victor Frankenstein in FRANKENSTEIN

It seems like within the last couple years there’s been a resurgence in the story of Frankenstein.  We’ve got The Frankenstein Theory, Frankenstein’s Army, I, Frankenstein, and now 20th Century Fox is getting in the mix with Frankenstein.  This film will be based on the original book by Mary Shelley, and Deadline reports that it will star James McAvoy as Dr. Frankenstein, with Daniel Radcliffe playing Igor.

The film will be directed by Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin) and written by Max Landis (Chronicle).  Frankenstein is set for an October 17th, 2014 release.
