Jason Bateman’s BAD WORDS Gets a Release Date

One of the films I wish I had a chance to see at Tiff this year is Jason Bateman‘s directorial debut, titled Bad Words. The film stars Bateman as a middle aged man who, due to an obscure loophole, enters an 8th grade spelling bee. With the title and the R rating, there promises to be plenty of foul language, mostly coming from Bateman towards the poor children.

Focus Features picked up the film for distribution and plans on a limited theatrical release on March 21st, 2014 and a nationwide rollout March 28th. The film also stars Rachel Harris and Kathryn Hahn.
