NEED FOR SPEED Trailer Starring Aaron Paul

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming video game adaptation Need for Speed, which stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Imogen Poots, and Michael Keaton.  The film is directed by Scott Waugh (Act of Valor), so that coupled with the fact that it’s based on a video game sets the bar fairly low, however the cast alone makes this one worth a look.

The trailer looks like they were trying to blend Drive with Fast and Furious, however it comes off as kind of goofy.  We’ll have to see how this one pans out when Need for Speed hits theaters March 14th, 2014.  Hit the jump to check out the trailer and synopsis.

Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins.
