Youtube and Neon have released a new trailer for Jospeh Kahn‘s satirical battle rap movie Bodied, starring Calum Worthy as a grad student who discovers a talent for battle rapping, plunging him into a world of politically incorrect insults that threaten his relationships and his college career. We were quite taken with Kahn’s biting satire, you can check out our full review out of this year’s Fantasia Fest here.
Bodied opens in theaters on November 2nd and will be available on Youtube Premium November 28th.
BODIED is the satirical story of Adam Merkin, a progressive grad student who becomes an accidental battle rapper whose success breeds outrage. The film stars Calum Worthy (American Vandal, Austin & Ally, and The Thinning), Jackie Long (Idlewild, ATL), Shoniqua Shondai (Sing It!, The Fosters), Walter Perez (The Avengers, Fame), Rory Uphold (Hella). Also featured are well known battle rappers Dizaster, Dumbfoundead, Hollow Da Don and media personality Charlamagne Tha God.
