Kevin Smith’s TUSK is Real, Aiming for Sundance Premiere

If you listen to Kevin Smith‘s SModcast, you may remember an episode a month ago when Smith and Scott Mosier talked about a hypothetical film involving a mad scientist attempting to turn a human into a walrus.

Well, Smith apparently liked the idea so much he wrote a script and decided it was feasible to make a film out of it and Tusk was born.  In a blog post today, he outlines how the film was formulated and included an early set picture (above).

Moreover, he’s looking to get the film completely shot and ready to go for a Sundance 2014 premiere.  In the post he also reaffirms that he’s still retiring from directing and that Clerks III is still on schedule to begin shooting March of 2014.  Be sure to check out the article for plenty more info on the project.
