KIDNAPPING FREDDY HEINEKEN Trailer

Based on the true story, a new trailer has been released for Kidnapping Freddy Heineken, which will be marketed at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.  The film revolves around the kidnapping of the grandson of the famous beer baron and heir to the Heineken fortune.  Anthony Hopkins plays Heineken, with Jim Sturgess, Sam Worthington, Ryan Kwanten, and Thomas Cocquerel playing the kidnappers.

The film looks intriguing, however it seems like the trailer give away way too much of the story.  I never heard about the true life events, but after watching this I feel like I know everything there is to know.  Either way, it looks like it could be a fun ride.

The film is directed by Daniel Alfredson, who previously directed The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s NestKidnapping Freddy Heineken doesn’t currently have a US release date, but that could change after it’s presented at Cannes.
