‘Lawless’ Red-Band Trailer

As a final bit of promotion before the film’s release August 29, a red-band trailer for John Hillcoat‘s Lawless has been released.  The film, based on a true story, stars Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, Jason Clarke, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, Guy Pearce, and Gary Oldman.Although this trailer has a lot of the same footage as the all-ages version, there is some added nudity and violence in this one, which makes the film appear to be more brutal than in the previous trailers.

LAWLESS is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers: bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In this epic outlaw tale, inspired by true-life tales of author Matt Bondurant’s family in his novel “The Wettest County in the World”, the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against the backdrop of the nation’s most notorious crime wave.
