’13: Game of Death’ Remake ‘Angry Little God’ Gets Distribution

One of my favorite Thai thrillers, 13: Game of Death, has been remade for an American audience, and is now officially been acquired by Dimension Films. The original film was released in 2006, and was directed by Chookiat Sakveerakul, with the new one, now titled Angry Little God, being directed by Daniel Stamm (The Last Excorcism).Dimension previously released the original film in America under their Dimension Extreme label.

The film is being written by Stamm and David Birke, who obviously adapted their script from the original, which involves a working-class stiff who unwillingly gets entered into a game show where he must perform an increasingly difficult and horrific series of events in order to gain his freedom and a $6 million dollar cash prize.

There is currently no release date set, so in the meantime enjoy the trailer for the original below.
