‘Life of Pi’ Trailer

When I first saw some stills of Ang Lee‘s upcoming Life of Pi, I thought, here’s another epic fantasy movie that looks like something from Tarsem Singh, but with the trailer release today, I’m pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this film looks.  The trailer is breathtaking, and I sincerely hope the film has the substance to back up the incredible visuals.Based on the best-selling novel, the film stars Suraj Sharma as the lone survivor in a terrible shipwreck, which leaves him marooned at sea with only a life boat, and a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.

The film also stars Irrfan Khan, Gérard Depardieu, Tobey Maguire, Adil Hussain, and Shravanthi Sainath Tabu, and opens in theaters November 21.
