Netflix Adds Download Option for Offline Binging

Netflix has just announced they’ve added a download option for members to watch content without needing an internet connection. The update has already rolled out for iOS and Android devices. When you install the latest version of the Netflix app, a download icon is now available on certain shows and movies. A menu feature also lists everything available for offline viewing.

Shows currently available include a lot of Netflix originals (Stranger Things, Narcos, Orange is the New Black), along with Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Movies include Pulp Fiction, Boyhood, and Kung Fu Panda 3, and the company promises “more are on the way.”

Read more details in the full release.

This is a welcome update, especially for travelers and those easily annoyed by the dreaded buffering wheel (which is all of us).
