New CLOVERFIELD Movie Coming Next October

It had been speculated that Bad Robot’s upcoming sci-fi thriller God Particle was actually the next Cloverfield movie in disguise. That speculation has pretty much been confirmed as God Particle was removed from the release schedule by Paramount…and a new (as yet titled) Cloverfield project was added for October 27th, 2017.

So, it appears the process of unwrapping J.J. Abrams’ latest mystery box has begun. I enjoy discovering this information slowly and anticipating, while not having anything spoiled. And if the movies in this universe continue to be as good as Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane, I’ll definitely support the cagy marketing process.

Directed by Julius Onah, God Particle (or Cloverfield in Space, or whatever they title it) is about astronauts who fight for survival after a “terrifying discovery” on an international space station. The film stars David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Brühl and Chris O’Dowd.
