POINT BREAK Remake Gets a First Trailer

Alcon Entertainment has released the first trailer for the upcoming Point Break remake, starring Édgar Ramírez, Luke Bracey, Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer, and Delroy Lindo. The film, much like the 1991 original starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, revolves around an FBI agent going undercover with a group of thieves who have a penchant for the extreme. While the theme matches the original, this one has a very different aesthetic and incorporates multiple styles of extreme sports rather than just surfing. Either way, I’m still not on board with this one.

Point Break opens in theaters this Christmas.

In Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break,” a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this string of inconceivable crimes.
