Renee Zellweger To Make Directorial Debut with ‘4 1/2 Minutes’

It feels like it was only yesterday that you couldn’t turn on a TV or go to a multi-plex without seeing Renee Zellweger in some sort of romantic comedy.  Now, it seems like Katherine Heigel may have replaced her in that role, but fans need not worry. Renee is back with her directorial debut 4 1/2 minutes starring herself alongside Johnny Knoxville. Based on the life of stand-up comic Dov Davidoff, Knoxville will play a down on his luck comedian who takes a job watching the son of Zellweger, who happens to be a genius.

The script was penned by Anthony Tambakis, who wrote Warrior, and production is set to begin this February.
