Samuel L. Jackson Joins THE BLOB Remake

Goldcrest Films announced today that Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to star in the upcoming remake of the 1958 sci-fi classic The Blob, which is set to be directed by Simon West (Con Air, The Expendables 2).

Jackson will be playing a biochemistry professor attempting to stop the giant red gelatinous alien from devouring the world.

Regarding Jackson’s involvement director West stated “I have been waiting to work with Samuel L. Jackson my whole career. He is a unique talent in the industry, definitely one of a kind. I am so pleased that we will finally get to collaborate on this project.”

The film is still in the early stages of development so plan on more casting announcements soon.
