A trailer has been released for Score: A Film Music Documentary, which takes an in-depth look at the art of movie music through interviews with composers and behind-the-scenes access. Seeing footage of John Williams composing the E.T. theme on the piano as Steven Spielberg looks on is pretty amazing. I’m definitely looking forward to this one.
Directed by Matt Schrader, Score: A Film Music Documentary features Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, James Cameron, Trent Reznor, Rachel Portman, Randy Newman, Howard Shore, Quincy Jones, Junkie XL, and many, many more creators. It opens in select theaters on June 16th.
