When I first read about this upcoming dark comedy from writer/director Martin McDonagh (In Bruges), I was excited, mainly because of the great cast. The film features Christopher Walken, Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Olga Kurylenko, Abbie Cornish and Tom Waits, which is a great lineup, however I was less than thrilled with the debut trailer.Set to debut at this year’s TIFF, the film centers around a group of dog-nappers who end up taking the Shih Tzu of Woody Harrelson, who just so happens to be a psychotic gangster. The result of this involves lots of zany antics, as one might expect.
Even though the trailer doesn’t look great, I’ll still be checking this one out when it hits theaters October 12, in hopes that it will be something fun. Here’s the trailer debut from Machinima:
