‘The Great Gatsby’ Trailer

In the debut trailer for Baz Luhrmann‘s take on the classic novel The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, we see a very visually pleasing look at the roaring 20’s with some heavy hitting actors to boot. Luhrmann is known for his visual style, previously directing Romeo and Juliette and Moulin Rouge, and it looks like his signature style oozes throughout this film.

Although adapting one of the greatest American novels ever written can be a tall order, there is certainly enough star power to back this project with Leonardo DiCaprio, Toby Maguire, Carey Mulligan, and Isla Fisher heading up the cast. Expect to see The Great Gatsby in 3D this Christmas, hit the jump for the full synopsis and trailer.

Nick Carraway, a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.
