Warner Bros. announced that plans to create a prequel to Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining are underway, much to the chagrin of most film lovers. It is to be noted that Warners stated that the film is still in early development and doesn’t even have a script yet, so if there was ever a good time for complaining about this, now would be an excellent time. Film Pulse has set up an online petition to inform Warner Bros. of what a monumentally bad idea this is, and hopefully, if enough people sign it, they’ll realize this.Tell your friends and spread the word, we can’t let studios ruin another classic film by cashing in on a needless sequel/prequel/reboot. Let’s force them to create some original ideas for once, and leave the classics alone.
