Walton Goggins to Antagonize Alicia Vikander in TOMB RAIDER

The idea of a Tomb Raider reboot wasn’t very exciting at all, until they started casting it. Alicia Vikander is taking on the role of archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft, previously played by Angelina Jolie in two films in the early 2000s.

Today Variety reported that Walton Goggins (Justified, The Hateful Eight) will be playing the villain opposite Vikander in the new adaptation of the video game series. Goggins is always interesting on-screen and could be a lot of fun if given the opportunity to chew some scenery.

Norwegian director Roar Uthaug is helming Tomb Raider, which will be released on March 16th, 2018.
