Watch the Trailer for a New Doc from AMERICAN MOVIE’s Mark Borchardt

It’s been 18 years since the release of the fantastic documentary American Movie, which chronicled the making of Mark Borchardt‘s indie horror film Coven. Two decades later, Borchardt is back with his next film. Titled The Dundee Project, the documentary covers a small-town UFO festival and gets insight from some locals. The trailer, narrated by Borchardt’s fellow Wisconsinite Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, definitely has me intrigued.

The next screening of The Dundee Project is on March 30th at the Wisconsin Film Festival, and you can keep up with screening announcements on the film’s Facebook page.

In his long-awaited follow-up to 1997’s “Coven,” filmmaker Mark Borchardt steps behind the camera again with “The Dundee Project,” a documentary chronicling a small town UFO festival in Wisconsin. Featuring interviews with eccentric locals, including “UFO Bob,” the film explores the annual ritual, which is equal parts sky watching and heavy drinking, and leaves Borchardt pondering whether any of it really happened at all. Trailer narrated by Justin Vernon.
