Weekend Box Office: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Has a Record Opening

The live action remake of Disney’s animated classic Beauty and the Beast ruled the box office over the weekend, taking in over $174 million domestically. It is the largest March opening ever and the seventh-largest of all time. The film also added $182 million internationally. The other new release of the weekend, The Belko Experiment, finished in 7th place with $4 million.

  8. Hidden Figures– $1.5M; Total gross: $165.5M
  9. John Wick: Chapter 2– $1.2M; Total gross: $89.79M
  10. Before I Fall – $1.03M; Total gross: $11.3M
