Wyatt Russell and Jovan Adepo to Star in Bad Robot’s WWII-Set Supernatural Thriller

The corner has been lifted on the next mystery box from J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot. Abrams will produce Overlord, a World War II-set thriller starring Wyatt Russell (Everybody Wants Some!!) and Jovan Adepo (Fences) as American paratroopers. Julius Avery (Son of a Gun) will direct from a script from Billy Ray (Captain Phillips) and Mark L. Smith (The Revenant).

The Hollywood Reporter has (a few) details that promise unexpected revelations:

will star as American paratroopers dropped into enemy territory. As they approach their target — a Nazi-occupied village with a German radio tower — they realize that they are a part of something bigger than a simple military operation.
