THE YOUNG AND PRODIGIOUS SPIVET Trailer 2

A new trailer has been released for Jean-Pierre Jeunet‘s latest charm-fest titled The Young and Prodigious Spivet, which focuses on a young boy’s journey to the Smithsonian to accept an award.  Judging from this and the previous trailer, fans of Jeunet’s other works such as Amelie and City of Lost Children will be pleased with the quirky visuals and storyline.

The film stars Kyle Catlett as the lead, with Niamh Wilson, Helena Bonham Carter, Callum Keith Rennie, and Judy Davis also starring.  It’s set to it France on October 16th, and will be out the US sometime next year.  Hit the jump to check out the new trailer.

 

A 12-year-old cartographer secretly leaves his family’s ranch in Montana where he lives with his cowboy father and scientist mother and travels across the country on board a freight train to receive an award at the Smithsonian Institute.
