October 12th will mark the release of P.T. Anderson‘s The Master, his first film since There Will Be Blood, which came out five years ago. In it we have Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a religious cult leader (which appears to be a thinly veiled reference to Scientology), who brings a troubled soldier, played by Joaquin Phoenix, into the fold.

AHHHHHH I am so excited! I read an early version of this script last year and it was AMAZING. Also, it’s shot on 65 it’s going to look so good.
