Here’s an exclusive clip from the ’80s-set coming of age film Age of Summer, directed by Bill Kiely and starring Percy Hynes White, Peter Stormare, Jake Ryan, Charlotte Sabina, and Diarmaid Murtagh. White plays a teen who enters in a junior lifeguard program at Hermosa Beach in 1986, which will, no doubt, become the catalyst for him coming of age.
Age of Summer opens in limited release and on VOD platforms this Friday (September 7th).
The live action teen comedy follows a young boy, Minnesota, as he is put to the test in the co-ed Junior Lifeguard Program on the shores of Hermosa Beach, 1986. The film stars Percy Haynes White (“The Gifted”), Peter Stormare (FARGO and PRISON BREAK), Jake Ryan (EIGHTH GRADE), and Bryana Salaz (member of Team Gwen on “The Voice”). This fun feel-good film was shot and produced in sunny California, with a junior cast that could actually surf!
This….looks…..terrible.
You’re not wrong.
I’m watching lots of Indian films at the moment and wholeheartedly recommend Padman(#10 for the year) and A Suitable Girl(#2). Also, the Shakespearean, Foxtrot (#3) A terrific final ten seconds.
Thanks for the recommendations Andy, I’ve been meaning to give Foxtrot a look and just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
