A new trailer for the upcoming Blumhouse-produced horror film The Gallows has been released, and although it looks to follow the same found footage formula as countless others, this one appears to at least provide a decent amount of scares. The film revolves a round a group of teens reviving a play where, years prior, an accident left a student dead. Now, malevolent forces are going after the kids.
Warner Bros. is releasing The Gallows in theaters July 10th.
Twenty years after an accident caused the death of the lead actor during a high school play, students at the same small town school resurrect the failed stage production in a misguided attempt to honor the anniversary of the tragedy—but ultimately find out that some things are better left alone.
