Universal has posted up the new trailer for the upcoming comedy The Boss, which stars Melissa McCarthy as the richest woman in the country who gets sent to jail for insider trading and winds up losing everything. With no place to go, she moves in with one of her former employees, played by Kristen Bell, and begins turning her daughter’s Brownie troop into her next empire. The film also stars Peter Dinklage, Kathy Bates, Kristen Schaal, Timothy Simons, Margo Martindale, and Cecily Strong. McCarthy’s husband, Ben Falcone (Tammy), co-writes and directs.
The Boss opens in theaters April 8th, 2016.

Directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy), the comedy is based on an original character created by McCarthy and written by McCarthy and Falcone alongside their Groundlings collaborator, Steve Mallory. The film is produced by McCarthy and Falcone through their On the Day productions and Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy through their Gary Sanchez Productions.
