2013 Independent Spirit Awards Nominees

Though I’m not the biggest fan of award shows, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Independent Spirit Awards, which recognizes yearly achievements in independent film. This year is exceptionally exciting for me personally, as this is the first year where I’ll actually be voting for the films I think should win.

The three big nominees this year are Beasts of the Southern Wild, Moonrise Kingdom, and Silver Linings Playbook, which all have a good chance at picking up multiple awards.  Hit the jump for the full list, and stay tuned for our predictions and who we voted for.
