This year’s most acclaimed film at Sundance was undoubtedly Benh Zeitlin’s Beasts of the Southern Wild, which won the Grand Jury prize at the festival. Today, we saw the first trailer for the film, which will be released on June 27. From the looks of it, the accolades, the acclaim and the numerous glowing reviews for Zeitlin’s debut feature seem well deserved. Sundance audiences got a firsthand look at a great film – one which I for one can’t wait to see this summer.
Amazing. I’m in. You know how I love those rural decay movies!
Yeah I can’t wait. It looks like George Washington mixed with Where the Wild Things Are.
I saw this film for the first time, and it blew me away. It was so good, beguiling and hypnotic.
