Ben Wheatley’s ‘Sightseers’ US Trailer

Ever since I saw Ben Wheatley‘s Kill List back in 2011 I’ve been clamoring for his next project. Fortunately he’s been very busy since then directing a segment in The ABCs of Death, working on a new film titled A Field in England set to come out this year, and Sightseers which is finally getting a release in the States on May 10th with a VOD release May 13th.

The film stars Alice Lowe and Steve Oram as a couple going on holiday and deciding it would be fun to murder a whole lot of people.  IFC has just released a US trailer for the flick and I’m terribly excited for the dark comedic tone it looks like it takes.  Hit the jump to give it a watch.

Chris (Steve Oram) wants to show Tina (Alice Lowe) his world and he wants to do it his way – on a journey through the British Isles in his beloved Abbey Oxford Caravan. Tina’s led a sheltered life and there are things that Chris needs her to see – the Crich Tramway Museum, the Ribblehead Viaduct, the Keswick Pencil Museum and the rolling countryside that accompanies these wonders in his life.

But it doesn’t take long for the dream to fade. Litterbugs, noisy teenagers and pre-booked caravan sites, not to mention Tina’s meddling mother, soon conspire to shatter Chris’s dreams and send him, and anyone who rubs him up the wrong way, over a very jagged edge…
