Now is an amazing time for fans of genre cinema, with services like Shudder and Exploitation TV catering to nearly every niche, but the streaming service pool just got a bit bigger today with the launch of Brown Sugar, a site specializing in African American cinema, specifically of the blaxploitation variety.

Described by Pam Grier as “Netflix, only blacker,” the service has launched with an already impressive lineup of classics including Foxy Brown, Dolemite, Shaft, Superfly, and tons more.

The best part is the subscription is only $3.99 a month so it’s an easy add to my already obscene list of streaming services I pay for.

A free trial is also being offered, so check out the official site over at BrownSugar.com for more information.
