It was announced today that
Alexander Payne‘s upcoming film
Nebraska has two more cast additions, after previously announcing lead roles for
Bruce Dern and
Will Forte.
Bob Odenkirk and
Stacy Keach are now attached to have supporting roles in the low-budget, black and white indie from the director of
Sideways and
The Descendants.
The film centers around Dern and Forte playing a father and son on a road trip to Nebraska from Montana to claim a $1 million Publishers Clearing House prize. Odenkirk is set to play Forte’s older brother, and Keach will play a friend of Dern’s.
June Squibb, who played
Jack Nicholson‘s wife in Payne’s other film,
About Schmitt, is in talks to join the cast as well.
Alexander Payne has confirmed that he’s working on locations and casting at the moment, and there’s no release date for the film just yet, but we can surmise it will probably be sometime next year.
