Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for David Gordon Green‘s latest, Our Brand Is Crisis, starring Sandra Bullock as a political strategist hired to help a Bolivian presidential candidate who is trailing in the polls. the film is based on a true story and also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Mackie, Zoe Kazan, Ann Dowd, and Scoot McNairy.
Our Brand Is Crisis will be making its premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival before being released in theaters October 30th.
A Bolivian presidential candidate failing badly in the polls enlists the firepower of an elite American management team, led by the deeply damaged but still brilliant strategist “Calamity” Jane Bodine (Bullock). In self-imposed retirement following a scandal that earned her nickname and rocked her to her core, Jane is coaxed back into the game for the chance to beat her professional nemesis, the loathsome Pat Candy (Thornton), now coaching the opposition.
