David Robert Mitchell’s IT FOLLOWS Picked up by RADiUS

RADiUS has acquired the U.S. rights to David Robert Mitchell‘s (The Myth of the American Sleepover) horror film It Follows, following its premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.  The film stars Maika Monroe, Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto, Jake Weary, Olivia Luccardi, and Lili Sepe, and promises to be a more intelligent and artfully made indie horror, something I’m always happy to see.

RADiUS plans on releasing the It Follows sometime in the first quarter of 2015.  Judging from their past releases, it will probably be getting a theatrical and day and date VOD release.

For 19-year-old Jay, fall should be about school, boys and weekends out at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, or something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her teenage friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.
