DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Trailer

The first trailer for Matt Reeves‘ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been released, and although we don’t see much, we learn that eight years have passed since the events of the first film, and while humanity is still around, there aren’t many of us left.  Also, the CG looks pretty incredible.

The film stars  Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano, and Kirk Acevedo, and is set for theaters July 11, 2014.  Hit the jump for the trailer and synopsis.

 

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
