Legendary Set to Create DEAD RISING Movie

Variety broke the news that Legendary will be producing a film based on Capcom’s zombie series Dead Rising, and will be releasing it online via Sony’s Crackle network.  Contradiction Films, who previously worked on Mortal Kombat: Legacy is set to produce the movie, however there’s no director attached as of yet.

Unlike Mortal Kombat or the recently released Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist digital series, Dead Rising will be a full-length feature film, although I’m still questioning what the quality will be like.  This will be the first project released by the digital media division of Legendary, so hopefully it will be more like Dead Rising 3 and not the red ring of death inducing Dead Rising 1.

This announcement comes after the recent release of  the Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha add-on released on Xbox One and the announcement of Dead Rising 3 coming to the PC.

Currently, there’s no release date for the film as of yet.
