Disney’s ‘Planes’ Trailer

Though I am a big fan of nearly everything Pixar has done, I think I’m not alone when I say the Cars series is by far their weakest property.  So how do you think it’ll turn out when Disney makes a spin-off titled Planes, that has no involvement from Pixar and was originally set for a straight to DVD release? We’ll find out August 9th, when this thing hits theaters but I’m thinking you shouldn’t hold your breath for this one.
The film focuses on a little plane named Dusty, and his dreams of entering an around-the-world air race despite his fear of heights.  I didn’t make that up.  That’s really what the movie is about.  Hit the jump for the trailer and full synopsis.
