Edgar Wright’s ‘The World’s End’ Gets 6 Pub-Themed Character Posters

Today, six new character posters for Edgar Wright‘s upcoming sci-fi comedy The World’s End have been released, featuring the names of some of the pubs the gang plans on visiting.  The film centers around a group of friends who reunite in order to achieve a pub crawl that they previously failed years before, only to have an alien invasion get in their way.

The film stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Rosamund Pike, Eddie Marsan, and Paddy Considine, check out all the posters after the jump, and plan on seeing The World’s End when it hits theaters July 19th in the UK and August 23rd in the US.

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Pegg), a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
