Here’s the amazingly gory first teaser for the Evil Dead remake, produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Fede Alvarez. While I was initially hesitant on the idea of one of my favorite horror movies getting a remake, this trailer looks so intense, I’m now extremely excited for it. The cast includes Bruce Campbell, however we don’t see him in the trailer (unless I missed him due to the ridiculous violence), so I’m not sure how big of a role he will be playing in the actual film.
In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
