FilmBuff and VICE Pick up Sam de Jong’s PRINCE

FilmBuff and VICE Media will be partnering up to distribute Dutch director Sam de Jong‘s Prince, which recently received an honorary mention for the Crystal Bear for Best First Feature at this year’s Berlinale. Last year the two companies collaborated on releasing the skate doc All This Mayhem.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

The film follows 17-year-old Ayoub (Ayoub Elsari) on his journey into manhood while vying for the love of the neighborhood beauty Laura, and the respect of the local tough-guy gang. Although Ayoub dreams of getting the girl and the neighborhood crown, he has little to show for his aspirations until he meets Lamborghini-driving Kalpa, local kingpin and alleged sociopath, who turns Ayoub into the talk of the town.

Prince will be released in select cities and VOD platforms beginning August 15th.
